- " Blaine Lee Nyberg Our loving husband, father, and grandfather, Blaine Lee Nyberg, 74, peacefully passed away Friday, June 24, 2005 at his home in Spanish Fork. He was born December 31, 1930 in Mountain Home, Utah to Ernest Don and Ruby Helene Hansen Nyberg. He married the love of his life, Sarah Jean Rowley, on March 31, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Blaine graduated from Altamont High School and Oregon State University with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering. He enjoyed building homes, carpentry, woodworking, and working in his yard. He was a private pilot and loved to fly. He also liked to hunt, fish, and travel. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many leadership positions. He recently served a mission with his wife in the Family History Mission in Salt Lake City. Blaine is survived by his wife, Sarah Jean of Spanish Fork; his children: Linda (Doug) Taylor of Longview, Washington, Peggy Lee Nyberg of Corvallis, Oregon, Ruth (Tom) Sutton of Pocatello, Idaho, Alyce (Kenneth) Armstrong of Spanish Fork, Michael Blaine (Kari) Nyberg of Spanish Fork; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters: Helene Usery of Ferndale, Washington, LaVon (Garth) VanTassel of LaVerkin, and Nellie (Ray) Hyatt of Fruitland. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ethan Joseph Nyberg; two brothers, Robert Don Nyberg and Peter Albert Nyberg; and a sister, Margie Boswell. Funeral services will be Monday June 27, 2005 at 11 a.m. in the Spanish Fork Wolf Hollow 2nd Ward Chapel, 870 East Canyon Road. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Family Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, and on Monday at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
