- Death came Monday for a Forest Lake businessman, Dale t. Moen. Mr. Moen, 41, seriously ill for a year, died at 12:55 p.m. at Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, in Faith Lutheran church, Forest Lake, with the Rev. Frank Johnson and the Rev. Alton Knutson officiating. Mrs. Raymond Tolzmann, soloist, and Mrs. Neil Robinson, organist, will participate in the service. Interment will be in Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake. Dale Thomas Moen was born March 30, 1927 in White Bear Lake [editorial comment: the original birth record notes birth in Oneka Township, Washington County], the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Moen. He moved to Forest Lake with his family in 1930. He graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1945 and served with the U.S. Army in 1946-47. On June 20, 1948, he married Charlotte Halbohn, Forest Lake in Faith Lutheran Church. They have one son. Mr. Moen and his wife owned and operated the Four Seasons Department Store and the Forest Lake Golf and Country Club. He was a member of Faith Lutheran church and Forest Lake Masonic Lodge. Survivors are his widow, Charlotte, and his son. Also surviving are his mother; four brothers; and four sisters.
