- "Hazel K. Andersen, 89, of Blair, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd Home in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 4 to 8 p.m.
Hazel K. Andersen was born Sept. 22, 1916, at Fort Calhoun to Carl and Clara (Paulson) Lorsch. She attended school in rural Fort Calhoun and Omaha.
On March 12, 1936, she married Ernest W. Andersen in Logan, Iowa. The couple lived their entire lives in Blair.
Mrs. Andersen worked for a few years at Wilkinson Manufacturing and Kay's Apple House in Fort Calhoun. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Blair.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Pat Neuman of Omaha, and Phyllis and Russ Puffer of Herman; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Al Leifert of Omaha.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; daughter, Susan Fees; grandson, Kevin Crom; one great-great grandchild; four sisters, Mildred Lorsch, who died in infancy, Ruth Campbell, Ethel Leifert and Naomi Pierce; and son-in-law, Bill Neuman."
