- "Funeral services for Minetta J. Hoier of Iliff will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday from First Presbyterian Church, the Rev Ivan E Rundus, D.D. officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial gardens.
Mrs. Hoier, 85, died Wednesday, Feb 8, 1989, at Sidney, Neb.
She was born June 15, 1903 in Kennard, Neb., the daughter of John F. og Bertha M. Schroder Japp, grew up and eduated in Nebraska.
She married Edward A. Hoier, Jan, 31, 1924, in Logan Iowa, and the couple farmed in Fremont, Neb., until moving to the Crook-Proctor area in 1934, thence to a farm two miles east of Padroni in 1939.
Mr. Hoier died Sept. 23, 1969, and Mrs Hoier continued to live on the farm, operating it for a total of 49 years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Hoier is survived by a daughter, Marian Powell of Scottsdale, Ariz.; four sons, LaVerne Hoier of Iliff, Elmon Hoier of Greeley, Donald Hoier of Pomona, Caif., and Kenneth Hoier of Sidney, neb.; three sisters, Meta Christensen of la Salle, Pauline Carwin of Proctor, and Olga Parker of Rossville, Kan.; two brothers Delmar Japp and DeWayne Japp both of Stirling; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. ..."
