    "William Rex Small, 47, of 1164 E. 460 S., died Sunday afternoon at the Utah Valley Hospital following a heart attack.
    He was born Feb. 17, 1915, in Payson, a son of George Horace and Flora B. Wilson Small. He married Areta Conrad [Caldwell], June 29, 1936, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
    He moved to Provo as a child and attended Provo schools. He was employed as a salesman and shop forman [foreman] for Dennie's Own Beverage Company, and has been employed many years as a salesman for the Singer Sewing Machine Company. He was owner and manager of the Valley Guest Home. He served in the European Theater of War during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
    He was a member of the LDS Church and had been superintendent of the Sunday School, was a ward teacher and at the time of his death, was serving as a member of the Provo 10th Ward Building Committee. His hobby was carpentry.
    Surviving are his wife and two daughters: Mrs. Dean (Jeanette) Skinner, Layton; Mrs. Daryl (Connie) Perkins, Provo; and three grandchildren; two brothers, Owen Small, American Fork; and Seldon Small, Long Beach, Calif.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, with Bishop Morris Bushnell, Provo 10th Ward, officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday prior to services. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery, where full military rites will be accorded by Dean Mendenhall, Provo Post No. 13, American Legion."

    "Jeanette Small Skinner, age 64, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2001 at Davis Hospital.
    She was born Aug. 5, 1937 in Provo the daughter of William Rexford and Areta Caldwell Small.
    Jeanette married J. Dean Skinner on Oct. 11, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple.
    Jeanette was reared in Provo, lived in Layton from 1958 to 1962 and had resided in Kaysville from 1962 until her death. She graduated from Provo High School.
    She was an active member of the LDS church and held many various callings and especially enjoyed working with the youth as Young Women's president. Jeanette had worked at Bowman's Bakery for eight years. She liked spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, and crafts.
    Surviving are her loving husband of 45 years, J. Dean Skinner, one son, William (Stephanie) Skinner, Clearfield; one daughter, Christina Atkinson; six grandchildren, A.J., Ashley, Brittan, Lindsay, Cameron, and Bradley, which she had a special relationship with all of them. Also surviving are her mother, Areta (Gene) Peckham, and one sister, Connie (Daryl) Perkins. Preceded in death by her father.
    Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 13th Ward Church, 875 E. 200 No. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main and Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
    She was loved by all that knew her. She will be missed greatly,

    "Connie Small Perkins, wife of Daryl L. Perkins, peacefully slipped away on February 17, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 73. She was born on October 24, 1938.
    My little bride gave me 55 years of wedded bliss. We have four wonderful children: Areta Perkins, Dan (Glenna Rae) Perkins, Jan (Striker) Hayes, & Jim (Tonya) Perkins. Nine grandchildren: Andrea, Susan (John), Tyler, Hudd (Heather), Burke (Elizabeth), Cody, Lisa, Melinda, & RaNee. Seven great-grandkids: Brielle, Kenslie, Ashley, Benton, Madison, Loren, & Sara. As Connie put it, "one awesome family." We spent many wonderful times together and she will be greatly missed.
    She was preceded in death by her father, William Rexford Small; sister, Jeanette Skinner; and mother, Areta Caldwell Small.
    Graveside services held at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State, Provo, Utah. Berg Mortuary of Provo was in charge of arrangements. Interment, Provo City Cemetery."
