    NEWARK: Tom Aishton, 68, from Newark, Ohio died on February 28, 2017 after a 5 year battle with stomach cancer.
    Tom lived in Ohio, Summerville SC and Northfield, NJ. He worked for 38 plus years for Battelle Memorial Institute as a research engineer having degrees in Aeronautical, Astronautical, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University. His most recent job, before retiring was in conjunction with the FAA in bomb detection.
    Newark, Ohio is where Tom began his love of all things aeronautical. He spent his teenage years in Newark with the Civil Air Patrol and then left for Ohio State University in Columbus. He was a member of many organizations including several professional engineering organizations, The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Gilda's Club and Christ Episcopal Church, the latter two were where he received tremendous support during his illness.
    Tom is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marilyn, his son, Barry, his sister Barbara Aishton, his niece Kate Aishton-Martin, and his grandson, Taylor Malone. Tom was preceded in death by his son, Mark who died Valentine’s Day 2015.
    A visitation will be held on Friday, March 10th, from 6-8pm at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Rd., Linwood, NJ and again on Saturday, March 11th from 10 -11am at the Christ Episcopal Church, 157 Shore Road, Somers Point, NJ. Services will follow at 11am. Burial will be private.

    AISHTON, Mark Harris age 34, of Egg Harbor City, NJ, died at home on February 14, 2015.
    Born November 16, 1980 Mark lived in Whitehall and Westerville, OH, Summerville, SC, and Northfield, NJ. Mark graduated from Mainland Regional High School, and worked various jobs installing commercial kitchen equipment, driving a taxi, and delivering auto parts in Southern New Jersey, and installing cable and high definition televisions in various hotels in several Eastern states. During Mark's time in Summerville he was a member of and an acolyte at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, a graduate of Pinewood Preparatory School, and was active in the Police Cadets, reaching the rank of Captain.
    Survivors include his son Taylor Milone, his brother Barry Aishton, his parents Tom and Marilyn Aishton, and many friends in South Jersey and Summerville.
    Visitations will be held Sunday, February 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Road, Linwood and Monday, February 23rd from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 157 Shore Road, Somers Point followed by Funeral Service at 11:00AM.
