  "...Born Raphael Raymond Miller on Sept 17, 1928, in Hope to Joseph and Alice (Skalicky) Miller. Ray was a member of the graduating class of 1946 at Owatanna High School. He married Mary Ellen Norgaard on Oct 25, 1952 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Litomysl. Ray farmed all his life in rural Steel County. While farming the couple raised five children. Ray was a member of the Grandfathers Club, Ssomerset Township Board, life member of HolyTrinity Church at Litomysl, served on the school board in Hope. His life interests includes fishing, collecting guns and spending time with his family. Ray is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ellen of Hope; son Dan (Karen Miller of Owatonna; daughters-in-law Dawn Miller of Owatonna and Marissa Miller of Clarksville, Tenn.; daughters, Judy Miller of Alden,Linda (Jay) Hernantez of New Richland; six grandchildren, sisters Zanobia (Bob) Dusek of Tuscon, Ariz., Lucille Olson of Faribault, and Joyce Granowski of Owataonna. Ray is preceded in Death by his parents, sons, Tom in 1998, and Dale in 2003 ..." (med foto)
