- KEEFFE, GEORGE R. - The death of George R. Keeffe of Rothesay occurred at Ridgewood Veterans' Wing early Monday morning, October 14, 2002. Mr. Keeffe was born in Saint John, a son of the late Col. George and Carmelite (Richard) Keeffe. He was a lifelong resident of Saint John except for the war years when he served overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was a member of 250 Wing Royal Canadian Air Force Association. He was an active curler and golfer, belonging to the Riverside Country Club for many years. He is survived by his wife, Gerda (Blok-Anderson) Keeffe; three sons, Patrick Niels (Diane) of Stittsville, Ont., Richard (Gail) of Ottawa, and Robert George (Sandie) of Westfield; three grandsons, Christopher, Michael, and Stephen; one granddaughter, Susan; and one brother, John (Macil) of Toronto. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., from where the funeral will be held on Thursday morning at 9:30 to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, for Mass of Christian Burial at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. I
