- "Roy C. Clark (May 1, 1933 - May 11, 2010)
Roy C. Clark, 77, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 as a result of a grain bin accident at his home. Roy was born May 1, 1933 at Flandreau to Lloyd and Garna (Neuman) Clark. He graduated from Flandreau High School in 1952 and married Marlene Thompson in June of 1953. He was in the U.S. Army from April 8, 1954 until his discharge on April 8, 1956. Roy returned to the Brookings area where he farmed until he moved to his present farm in 1967. He was married in Flandreau on January 2, 2002 to Patty Barron and has continued to farm. He was a member of Glen Stafford American Legion Post #198 of Elkton and a 45 year member of the Elks Lodge in Brookings. Roy enjoyed his family and to Polka Dance.
Roy is survived by his wife, Patty Clark, Elkton; 2 sons, Alan (Janet) Clark, Aurora and their children, Shelly, Kyla and Cody; Don (Tanya) Clark, Aurora and their daughter, Lauren; 1 daughter, Jane Yetter, Grand Forks, ND and her daughter, Morgan; 4 stepchildren, David Barron, Sioux Falls; Claudine Lagge, Sioux Falls and her daughter, Whitney; April (Andy) Stewart, Flandreau and their children, Shawn, Marissa, Tala, Elijah and Brycen; McClain Barron (Melissa), Flandreau; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Irene (Lawrence) Barthel, Kalispell, MT, MaryLou Kerns, Sioux Falls and 1 brother, Glen (Vergene) Clark, Brandon. He was preceded in death by his parents, one nephew and one brother-in-law.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 14, 2010 at 11 AM at Second Presbyterian Church, Flandreau. Visitation will begin at 2 PM on Thursday with a prayer service at 7 PM all at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau." (Gengivet i findagrave.com; med portrætfoto)
