- "It is with both heartache and joy that Larrie Bruce McCue, age 61, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 6th, 2018. Larrie is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 43 yrs., Rita; his loving children, Jason (Crystal) McCue; Tricia (Jeremy) Sumner; and Timothy (Andrea) McCue; 11 beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Lucas, Josie, Michael, Marlo, Madeline, Grace, Teegan, Amelia, Joseph and Charlie; Mother, Barbara McCue; Father, Willliam Newlin (Sharon); Mother and Father In-Law, Bob and Pearl Dischinger; Siblings: Kevin (Cindy), Kenneth, Julie (Gary), David (Diane), Marcia, Shawna (Ken), Bob, Phil (Lori), Ruth (Douglas), Cindy (Don), Sharon (Mike), Becky (Tony) along with many loving neices and nephews. And his very best friend in life, David Schmitz. He is preceded in death by his dad, Roy; Grandparents, Evelyn, Ila, Eleanor and Willoughby.Larrie honorably served in the Marine Corp. On December 26th, 1974 Larrie and Rita were united in marriage.
In 1998, after a long illness, Larrie received a heart and lung transplant. Later, in 2000, a kidney was donated to him by his wife, Rita. Our family is forever grateful to Dwayne (heart and lung donor), Rita and especially to our Lord and Savior for this gift of life and for blessing our family with 20 more years of wonderful memories made with Larrie.
There will be a Visitation on Sunday, April 15th from 6-8pm and a Celebration of Life on Monday, April 16th at 9:30am with a visitation beginning at 9am and a luncheon to follow the service. Both services will be held at Gateway Church, 13913 185th Ave NW, Elk River, MN. A private internment will be held at Fort Snelling. ..."
