  "Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Tuesday, 29 September 1914, page 6 DEATH OF MRS. DONNER The sad news of the death of Mrs. W. E. (William Edward) Donner reached the many friends in this city this morning. Many did not know of the serious illness of Mrs. Donner and the announcement of her death came as a shock to friends. For seven months past she had been ailing, but no seriously until the last five weeks. Death resulted from cancer trouble. Ella Lykke Donner was born in this city March 23, 1885, and lived to be 29 years old. On January 20, 1914, she was united in marriage to Mr. W. E. Donner. Besides the husband there are left to mourn her untimely loss her father, two brothers, Albert and Roy Lykke, and one sister, Mrs. A. L. Bradstreet. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence over the Glass & Evans garage.
