- "Irma Johanna Andersen, daughter of Soren and Johanna Sorensen, was born Sept. 27, 1925 near Fiscus. She was raised near Fiscus, and graduated from Audubon High School in 1943. In 1945, she moved to Harlan with her parents.
Dec. 25, 1946, she married Robert C. Andersen at her parents. After their marriage, they farmed east of Marian for 36 years. In 1984, they retired from farming and moved into Harlan. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Harlan. She died July 17, 1993, at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan, at age 67 years, 9 months and 20 days.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and one infant granddaughter, Kathy Andersen. Survivors include heir husband, Robert C. of Harlan; 3 daughters, Linda (Art) Andersen of Co. Bluffs; Bonnie (Alan) Ickes of Harlan; and Debbie (Craig) Musfeldt of Manning; 2 sons, Robert Andersen of Manilla; and Rick (Cheryl) Andersen of Harlan; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 1 nephew, Allan Andersen.
Funeral services were held July 20, 1993, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Harlan, with Rev. Harrison J. Kline, officiating. Casketbearers were Allan Andersen, Brian Andersen, Craig Kroeger, O.E. (Buck) Holloway, Arthur Andersen, and Phil Daringer. Burial was in the Harlan cemetery. Arrangements by Burmeister Funeral Home."(Gegivet i Findagrave.com)
