Harold Dean Jensen was born on April 13, 1934 at Herman, Nebraska to Harold T. and Bernice Taylor Jensen. He attended school in Blair after having moved from Herman with his family.
On August 20, 1954 he married Gladys McIntosh in Blair.
He worked for Markham and Brown for over 20 years as a riverboat pilot. For the past 11 years he was employed by Ft. Calhoun Stone Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys; four children, Marsha Jensen, Cayce, South Carolina; Joann Jensen, Lexington, South Carolina; Nadine (Mrs. David) Toft, Spiker, Nebraska and Larry Jensen, Kennard, Nebraska; four grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers, Norma (Mrs. Elvin) Grell, Marilyn (Mrs. Donnell) Edson, both of Blair, Nebraska, Donna (Mrs. Gene) Lowther, Fremont, Nebraska, Ronald Jensen, Norfolk, Nebraska and Jeffrey Jensen, Omaha, Nebraska."
