- "Graveside service for Alice M. Sorensen, 77, was Wednesday at Fairmount Memorial Park. Donald Helton Jr., her nephew, officiated at the service. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sorensen, who died November 15, was born in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska.
She had lived in Spokane for 45 years, and worked as an agent for the Union Pacific Railroad from 1945 until she retired in 1980.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 1474, the Eagles Lodge No. 2 Auxiliary, the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railroad Employees, the Union Pacific Employees Club, the Hillyard Belles and Trainmen, the Hillyard Senior Center, and the Transportation and Communications International Union.
Her husband, Ray Sorensen, died in 1959.
Mrs. Sorensen is survived by a sister, Dorothy Helton of California City, California.
