- "Beverly Dawn Holder Fieldsted, 94, passed peacefully away at her home on March 25, 2020.
She was born on June 8, 1925 in Myton, UT to J Edgar and Vera La Preal Gardner Holder. She has one brother, Bud Holder, and two sisters, Jeanne Sargent and Betty McLea.
She married Burke Fenton Shiner on Feb 14, 1943. Together they had one son, Billy Burke Shiner. Burke was killed in Belgium during WWII.
She married Harry W. Fieldsted on November 28, 1946 in Salt Lake City, UT. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on March 10, 1961. Together, they added 3 more sons to their family, Terry, Gary and Tony.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in many callings throughout her life. She was able to work in 3 temples; Provo, Nauvoo and Vernal. She and Harry served a mission to the Nauvoo Temple Mission.
Her life was not always easy however, because of her trials, she became grateful for all the little things this life provided her. Nobody ever left her home without being told how grateful she was for their visit and kindness. Nobody left her home hungry either.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for all the kindness and understanding that has been given to them during this past week. They feel sad that many could not come and say their final goodbye to Beverly and hope that all will understand our concerns over the virus.
Beverly is survived by her Eternal Companion of 73 years, Harry Fieldsted; children, Terry (Shauna) Fieldsted, Gary (Sheila) Fieldsted, Tony (Kailene) Fieldsted, sister, Betty (Varney) McLea, 17 grand children, 41 great grandchildren and 31 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Vera Holder, brother, Bud Holder, sister, Jeanne Sargent, husband, Burke Shiner, son, Billy Shiner, great grandsons Jaxon Miles, Brock Miles, great granddaughters, Shayna Brady, Burklee Williams, Rozee Williams, great grandsons Kixton and Kashton Brady.
Because of the on-going virus the family has canceled formal funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
A viewing for family and close friends will be held at the Altamont Church on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. The family will be following state, church and local guidelines regarding the virus. They ask people not to travel great distances to attend. During the viewing, only 10 people at a time will be allowed in the viewing area and we ask all to refrain from body contact at this time.
A family graveside service will be held at the Altamont Cemetery following the viewing at 1:00 pm. All are being asked not to congregate in groups but rather keep each immediate family together.
