- "Rowen Jack Monsen was born September 4th 1951 to Grant and Marian Monsen. He returned to his loving Heavenly Father November 29th 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Rowen graduated from Altamont High School in 1969, and graduated from Utah Valley Technical College in Welding. Rowen worked for Moroni Feed Company for 23 years. Rowen was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and married his wife Susan in the Provo Temple for time and all eternity on May 10th 1974. Rowen lifted many lives with his big heart, humor, and quick wit. Rowen touched the lives of all who knew him, and was considered a father to many who were not his own children. Rowen loved hunting and fishing with family and friends, loved the simple things in life, and loved being at home. Rowen had a knack for fixing things, and enjoyed working on his tractor which he considered more fun than work. Rowen was preceded in death by his father Grant and brother Dwight. Rowen is survived by his mother Marian, wife Susan, five children Tamara Monsen, Angela (Andy) Jones, Michael (Tiffany) Monsen, Thad (Allyson) Monsen, Grant (Holly) Monsen, three brothers and four sisters Ann (Paul) Topham, David (Sharon) Monsen, Marie (Virgil) Pugsley, Dorine (Gary) Eberhard, Rudy (Julia) Monsen, Judy (Brent) Winters, Jerry (Ranae) Monsen. Rowen and Susan have 17 grandchildren and there are many more who called him dad and grandpa. A viewing will be held Sunday December 3rd at the Fountain Green LDS Church 151 South 200 West from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at the church Monday December 4th at 10am, with a viewing one hour prior. Internment will be held at the Altonah City Cemetery. ..."
