  "Evelyn 'L' Hitchkock Rowley, age 86, died August 31, 1996 in Vernal. She was born December 16 1909 in Ferron to Seth and Sarah Fieldsted Hitchkock. She married Howard T. Rowley on August 13, 1929. Later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. He died May 3, 1977. Evelyn crocheted beautiful items for a company called 'The Naturalist'. She also made and sold quilts. She lived in Salt Lake City from 1952 until 1977 where she made and sold her crafts at "Mormon Handicraft" and at the "Smithsonian Instutute Gift Shop". She moved to American Fork and then to Talmage in 1982. She is survived by children and their spouses, Dean and Betty Rowley, Talmage; Jean and Blaine Nyberg, Ocean park, WA; John and Eva Jane Rowley, Talmage; Maurine and Ross Lindsay, Mtn. Home; Stan and Faye Rowley, Farmington, NM; 26 grandchildren, 61 great grandvhildren; and her 1/2 brother Grant Monsen, Altonah. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and one grandson, Dale Rowley. Funeral services held Wednesday September 4, 1996 11 a.m. at the Moon Lake Ward Chapel ... Burial in the Mtn. Home-Boneta Cemetery ..."
