- "Duaine lames Hunter Duaine James Hunter, 78, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed from this life to his Heavenly home on August 30, 1999. He was born October 26, 1920 in Montpelier, Idaho to Clifford and Annie Mae Smeath Hunter. He was a man of integrity and used his life to love and care for his family and friends. Duaine married Montez Fjeldsted in the Manti Temple on October 24, 1941. Duaine served in the U. S. Army, was a member of the Provo Lions Club, and held many positions in the LDS Church. He was Deputy County Treasurer for Utah County and was affiliated with f Far West Bank for the last 12 years. He is survived by his wife Montez; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Kay Hunter of Sandy, UT; Brent and Jan Hunter of Chicago; grandson, D. J. Hunter, granddaughters, Trudi Budd and Sheri Gonzales, and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Donald Hunter, Vern Hunter, sisters, Doris Folkman and Geraldine Weatherston. He was preceded in death by sisters, Beverly Smith and Helen Cheney, and grandson, Randall Hunter. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 3, 1999, at 11:00 A.M., in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo. Friends may call Thursday at the Berg Mortuary of Provo from 6-8 P.M., or Friday morning, at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery."
