  "Clora Naomi Fjeldsted Jensen, 93, of Centerfield, Utah, passed away February 12, 2003 in Mayfield, Utah. Born December 1, 1909 in Centerfield, Utah to Richard Arthur and Amanda Jensen Fjeldsted. She married Lawrence James Jensen, January 18, 1933 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death March 3, 1999. A faithful member of the L.D.S Church, Naomi served a mission to California prior to her marriage, and later with Lawrence, missions to New Zealand and New Mexico. She diligently served in many church callings, including organist, Gunnison Stake Relief Society president, and temple worker alongside her husband in the Manti Temple. Naomi's life was devoted to her family. She leaves behind lessons of the heart and spirit to persevere in spite of enormous obstacles. Her long, difficult battle with Parkinson's Disease was endured without bitterness or complaint. She leaves a legacy of the importance of patience and inner faith, which she communicated to us through her actions as much as her words. We are reluctant to bid farewell, except to know that she has finally conquered this cruel avenger and is now rejoined with Lawrence in peace. She is survived by her children: Eulyn L (Carole) Jensen, Arno F (RaNee) Jensen, Vena J. (Clifford) Childs, and Kent J (Karen) Jensen; 21 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Hermansen and Dale Westphal. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Bruce, Ira Rae, and sisters Eula and Onda. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Centerfield 1st Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Centerfield Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Centerfield Cemetery. Funeral directors, Magleby-Jensen Mortuary of Salina and Gunnison The family extends their appreciation to everyone at the Mayfield Care Center for the unmeasurable love and care given to our mother for over six years.."
