- "Dixie Lee World Dunford, age 78, passed away on May 24, 2014 in Logan, Utah. She was born December 8, 1935 in Los Angeles, California to Aleata V. and Albert H. World.
Dixie was a loving mother, sister, grandma, aunt, and friend to many. She loved WENDOVER, playing Black Jack and Nickels despite her eyesight. Dixie loved bowling, dancing, camping, boating, fishing, playing the piano, and being with her family. You could often find her calling to have Kaisha and Jaden spend time with her. She loved telling old and new stories and jokes. Dixie was hilarious – you could always guarantee a laugh or smile from her. She will be forever missed by all who knew her. Grandma, you will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm going to miss you more than you know. Soar high my Angel.
Dixie is survived by her beloved children: Frank (Tonia) Griffin, Mike Griffin, Sandra Reynolds, Troy (Sheri) Harris, Tami (Larry) Stone; brother Steve (Vickie) World; sisters Judy (Dave) Mitchell, Susan (Mike) Hoeschen; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many who knew and loved her. (her son Jaydee Harris was inadvertently left out of the obituary.)
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan, with a viewing two hours prior to the service where friends and family may honor our beloved mother, sister, aunt, and very special grandmother. Immediately following the funeral service, interment will take place at Redwood Memorial Park. Flowers may be sent to 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123." (gengivet i Findagrave.com)
