- 'In Loving Memory in His Birthday Month he was born August 25, 1930 and passed away May 31, 2017.
He was an adored son, brother, cousin, and nephew. He was a much loved father, grandfather, a tennis partner, and a devoted husband to the end for 64 years. He was a dear friend, colleague, and hiking buddy. Boyd approached life with a keen intellectual curiosity, which he applied to his work as a well-respected faculty member of the University of Utah Bureau of Economic and Business Research for over 30 years. He was also a leader in the National Association of Forensic Economists. Boyd had a lifelong appreciation of music and nature. He was a quiet activist for human rights, and was genuinely kind and interested in others even through the challenges of his last few years.
We would like to thank nurses Erika, Christine, and Diane, and the caring personnel of Caregivers Support Network, with a special thanks to those that provided patient, loving care in his last few days. You all made these last years and months possible for him to live out his last years in his home. We also feel gratitude for the watchful kindness of Boyd's incredible neighbors.
With all our love forever
Cameron, Jeff, Julia, and Katherine
