- Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Finn as a teenager experienced a life changing event as a refugee surviving the Holocaust. Immigrating to the U.S. in 1955, he enjoyed a successful career at DuPont as a mechanical engineer. Finn had an active lifestyle including downhill skiing, SCUBA diving, white water kayaking, swimming, wind surfing, folk dancing, tennis, golfing, playing bridge, cooking and entertaining his friends. He also enjoyed activities at the DuPont Country Club, the Jewish Community Center, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and in Arden. Playing viola in the Delaware Symphony Orchestra held a special place in Finn's heart. He always considered himself to be a very lucky man.
Finn is survived by his daughter, Becky and her children, Marco and Katrina; his daughter, Didde, her husband, Curt and their children, Matt and Tessa; and his sisters, Ida and Lise.
Interment was held Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Arden Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Arden Club: Guild Hall Renovations.
