- "Theresia Beck, formerly of Baldwin, MI and Blanchard, MI, passed away on March 24th, 2016 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her first husband Stefan Fisch and second husband Peter Beck, her sister Elisabeth Agnes, and brother Jacob Schneider. She is survived by her sister Kaethe Sturm and brother Frank Schneider. Theresia was born in Bethausen, Romania and grew up in Ciacova, Romania until 1944. Towards the end of the war her family fled Romania and migrated to Austria where they lived in a refugee camp until their immigration to the United States in 1956. She was married to Stefan from December 1945 until his death in Sept 1952. She worked in St. Clair Shores as a housekeeper, then later at Hudsons in the bakery department. She was married again to Peter in April 1959 until his death in Nov 1990. She lived in Detroit and then Hazel Park prior to her move to Baldwin around 1975. She and Pete enjoyed many quiet years in a small cottage on a lake, and always enjoyed the company of many pets over the years. After Pete passed away, she eventually moved to Blanchard, Michigan to be near family. A graveside funeral services will be held April 1st, 2016 at 12:45 pm at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, MI. A wake to follow at the home of Gabriele and Bob Halsall." (med portrætfoto)
