- "Virginia E. Sanderson, 73, of Sandusky, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023 at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.
Virginia was born on May 13, 1949 in Marlette, MI to the late Albert and Agnes (Beck) Maynard. Virginia graduated from Marlette High School with the Class of 1967. She married Harley Sanderson on November 18, 1967 in Sandusky, MI. Virginia was a Licensed Daycare Provider who owned and operated Teddy Bear Daycare for 35 years and was also a member of Sandusky Full Gospel Church. She liked spending time with her family, especially her sisters. Virginia was a good cook and baker who also enjoyed scrapbooking, puzzles, bird watching and crafting.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harley Sanderson; her son, Michael (Pattie) Sanderson; her two daughters, Karie (Ernest) Durham and Kristen (Eric) LaJoie; six grandchildren, Jared, Jacob, Jordan, Alex, Karlie and Macy; three sisters, Muriel Ferguson, Marilyn (Don) Willis and Rose Albrecht; tow sisters-in-law, Sharon Maynard and Shelby Pfeil; two brothers-in-law, Gary Tubbs and Jim Stolicker; and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sydney; one brother, Ray Maynard; one sister, Laurie Tubbs; two brothers-in-law, Duncan Ferguson and Randy Albrecht; and her sister-in-law, Linda Stoliker.
Family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky, MI and from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Open Door Missionary Church in Sandusky, MI with Pastor Wendi Brock officiating.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Open Door Missionary Church in Sandusky, MI. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Watertown Township ..."
