- Mae “Laurie” Laurel Tubbs, age 63, of Sandusky passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at United Hospice of Marlette.
Laurie was born November 6, 1953 in Marlette to the late Albert and Agnes (Beck) Maynard. She married Gary Tubbs on July 29, 1992 in Sandusky, MI. Laurie was a Press Operator at Yale Rubber for more than 13 years. She enjoyed gardening, camping, computers, her family and her cat Lizzie.
Laurie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Gary Tubbs; two daughters, Brandy (Bruce) Davis of Sylvania, OH and Lindsay Glaza (Scott Goins) of Carsonville, MI; three stepchildren, Lou (Megan) Tubbs of Cleveland, OH, Edward (Linda) Tubbs of Applegate, MI and Heather (Derek) Cooley of Cincinnati, OH; eleven grandchildren, Lennon, Noah, Emilia, Laken, Jared, Travis, Jude, Elliot, Foster, Christina and Amanda; four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Madisyn, Jase and Gabriel; four sisters, Muriel Ferguson, Marilyn (Don) Willis, Ginny (Harley) Sanderson and Rose (Randy) Albrecht; her sister-in-law, Sharon Maynard; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Bobbie Glaza; her step-son, Roy Tubbs; and her brother, Ray Maynard.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5 PM Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Open Door Missionary Church in the Fellowship Hall.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United Hospice of Marlette or the Sanilac County Humane Society.
