- Alfred “Al” G. Urman was born July 21, 1920 in St. Paul, MN, where he grew up. During World War II, he served his country in the US Army, where he served in North Africa and in the far east.
On June 27, 1953, Al married Annie Johnson Lund. They lived in Moorhead, and Al worked at Gamble’s warehouse, and for 35 years for the City of Moorhead Street department. He lived in Moorhead and later was a resident of Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth, where he died Sept. 30, 2016.
Al enjoyed casino visits, playing cards, fishing and bowling. Al was a big Minnesota Twins fan.
Al is survived by a step-daughter, Priscilla Oberlander; a daughter, Debbie Ramsett; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great grandchild; 7 step great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Annie, who died in 2011, Al was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Rosemary Lureen; and several brothers and sisters.
Al's Memorial Service will be, Friday, October 7, 2016, at 1:00 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN."
