3910 | "Richard H. Gourley, 93, of Minocqua, died peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Beloved father, grandfather, and brother, he was born in Waukegan, Ill., on Jan. 15, 1923, but was a lifelong Wisconsin boy growing up in Kenosha. Rick was only a teenager when he went north to work in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC camps) down Blue Lake Road south of Minocqua. There he was assigned as cook and remembered peeling 16 tons of potatoes. But it was from there he also met his future wife, Beth (Luedtke) whose family owned the Blue Lake Resort on Blue Lake Island. At the time the resort served meals, and foremen from the CCC camp often went over to eat. They were allowed to bring only their most trusted workers because the Luedtkes had three very attractive daughters, Audrey and twins Beth and Gwenn. Rick was one of the chosen, and he and Beth were married for 71 years before her death in the spring of 2014. Rick served as a pilot in the Army Air Corp during WWII. His only child, Andree, was born on the morning he soloed and was awarded his wings. Flying a B-24 Liberator out of England, he was one of the few pilots who survived all of his bombing missions into Germany. Though once shot down over Belgium, he was safely returned to his base with the help of Allied Resistance. Rick was a carpenter by trade and after moving to Castro Valley, Calif., in the 1950s he joined a Bay Area construction firm called the Pacific Company. With them he rose first to foreman, then superintendent, and many San Francisco high rise buildings stand as monuments to his building career. Rick and Beth took early retirement to purchase and run the Blue Lake Resort in the early 1970s. During off seasons of the 15 years they ran the resort, the Gourleys traveled the globe together visiting every continent except Greenland and Antarctica. Besides being a world traveler, Rick was a member of American Legion Post 89, a formidable bridge player, and a lifelong stamp collector. He is survived by his only daughter, Andree Graveley, proprietor of Blue Lake Resort since 1989; his three grandchildren Michael (Claire) Graveley of Kenosha, Nicole (Paul Smith) Graveley of San Leandro, Calif., and Sarah Graveley of Minneapolis, Minn. On the very day of his death Rick heard the good news that his grandson Michael was running for district attorney of Kenosha County. Other decendants include four great grandchildren, Ben, Lucas, Amelia, and Aron. He is also survived by a loving sister, Joyce Fitchett of Racine, sister-in-law Audrey Despain of Castro Valley, Ca., and numerous nieces, nephews, and their children. The family of this beloved man wish him good travels in a place with no wars, now that he has graduated from this life and has surely earned and been awarded his next set of wings." Levde 1331, troligen bosatt på Suderheim (RKn.), men enligt annan uppgift (N. F.) död 1320." (Holbek & Brun) "When in the early 14th century it was foreseeable that the male line of Sverre dynasty would go extinct, Norwegian lords spiritual and temporal arranged the Order of succession of the kingdom together with the then king, Haakon V of Norway. King Haakon's youngest daughter, Ingeborg Haakonsdatter instead of her older sister Princess Agnes Haakonsdatter received recognized rights of succession to the Kingdom of Norway (872–1397) for her descendants. This entitlement came to be referred to as the Stovreim claim (Stovreimsætten). In the eventuality of the Ingeborg line dying out, it was determined that the issue of King Haakon's illegitimate daughter, Agnes Haakonsdatter, born to her in marriage to Havtore Jonsson (ca. 1275–1319) would then be entitled to succession. This entitlement was referred to as the Sudreim claim (Sudreimsætten)." (Wikipedia) | Jonson, Hr. Havtore af Sudreim (I16978)

3918 | "Ridder, - hr. Jacob Nielsen (Rani)s vegne, hvilket gods hr. Jacob Nielsen pantsatte hr. Johan Swinekule for 300 mrk. lybsk løsepenge i åben krig på kong Valdemars vegne (Rep. Dipl. II. 277). He was one of 8 children that grew up on the family farm outside of Lucca North Dakota. He enjoyed spending his days with his siblings especially his brother Victor who got into their fair share of shenanigans. Sonny wore many hats in his 94 year lifetime, all of which he was proud of. 3940 | "Robert Earl Frerichs (84), Lincoln, Nebraska, was born January 28, 1934, at their farm home near Mt Clare, Nebraska. He passed away on October 25, 2018, at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln at the age of 84. He began his education at age 5 in a one-room schoolhouse near Mount Clare, Nebraska. He graduated from Nelson High School and served in the army for two years. He received a Business Administration degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and worked as an accountant for physicians for 30 years. Robert married a young widow, Roberta L’Heureux and her two small children in 1964. He adopted Larry and Donna, and their union added Barbara. They enjoyed 54 wonderful years together and enjoyed square, round and ballroom dancing and traveling. Bob enjoyed his extended family, their good neighbors, and maintaining a meticulous home and yard. He enjoyed flowers, the millions of butterflies that visited each year, and all the beauty in nature. He was very proud of his children’s and grandchildren’s success and accomplishments. Bob enjoyed old cars and old tractors. Frequently during small talk with new acquaintances he would tell them he married Bobbie because she had a 1962 Ford. It was black and white with a red interior. He added extra chrome—pretty sharp! That car was a perfect fit for him. At 6’5” he drove it while wearing a dress hat comfortably for over 30 years. As empty nesters, Bob and Bobbie would dance 2-5 nights per week. At a three hour dance, they would dance at least 90% of the songs. They attended several weekend polka fests and square dance conventions. After retirement, they enjoyed two weeks of barn dancing each fall at Silver Dollar City during their Harvest Festival. They gained many special friendships with fellow dancers. On September 20, 2018, they were able to dance a few songs by the Bobby Layne Orchestra at Legacy Terrace helping to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Legacy Terrace. They have been part of the Legacy Terrace family for almost two years. 3947 | "Robert, (Bob, Dad, Grandpa, Morty, Mr. Mort) Mortensen passed away peacefully June 3 in Olympia, WA. He was 88 and lived a great life! He had struggling over the past several months from two strokes and several seizures that weakened his cognitive and writing abilities, a major part of his life. Each time a stroke hit, he did everything possible in therapy to overcome the obstacles while sneaking in a laugh or joke to lighten the moment for all around him. His personality never left. Dad loved to teach and to talk! He told his nurse that he was at peace and was ready to go a moment before he breathed his last breath and passed peacefully. Bob was born Iron Mountain, Michigan on June 10, 1930 to Leo and Eva Mortensen. He had a sister Olive, who passed away suddenly during his childhood. Bob was a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame in 1952. He served in the military at the end of the Korea War and while stationed in Hawaii, met Janet Staatz who he later married on April 7, 1956 in Sumner, Washington. After 58 years of marriage, Jan preceded Bob in death on May 9, 2014. Bob entered banking and finance in both Seattle and Tacoma, but his passion was in teaching. In 1974 he joined Charles Wright Academy in Tacoma where he managed school finances, coached boys’ and girls’ basketball and taught middle school English. He retired from Charles Wright in 1994, but he never stopped teaching. He was one of the founders of the Charles Wright Elders group, he was a reader at his Catholic church, he was a contributing writer to the Notre Dame Alumni Magazine, he wrote often to his local newspapers and he and Jan were volunteers in Hospice for more than 20 years before he suffered his first stroke in the fall of 2018. He was a member of Holy Wisdom Inclusive Catholic Community in Lacey, Washington. Bob assumed there was a reason God kept him living these past few weeks as his functions were shutting down. All who knew him know that it was to show him, and all of us how much love surrounded him. We were all blessed! Bob is survived by son Paul (wife Rhonda and Griffin, Jack and Amy) in Silver Spring, Maryland, son Bill (wife Susan and Luke and wife Ali) in McDonald, Pennsylvania and his daughter Nancy Mortensen in Olympia, Washington. Rest in peace Bob and say hello to Jan!" (Gorevermissed.com også gengivet i Findagrave.com) | Mortensen, Robert Leo (I16525)
